


On April 17–18, 2026, the 4th Synthetic Biology Industry Expo (SBC 2026), jointly organized by BioValley, Shandong University, East China University of Science and Technology, and China Cosmetics Magazine, concluded successfully at the Nanjing Yangtze River International Conference Center!
Under the theme "Synthesizing Future Trends, Smart Manufacturing Infinite Possibilities," the expo focused on areas such as aesthetic medicine and daily chemicals, agriculture and natural products, bio-manufacturing and new materials, food and nutrition, and consumer health. It featured 5 major forums and 13 cutting-edge thematic sessions for in-depth discussions. With over 1,500 on-site attendees, the event was led by multiple industry giants and brought together experts from industry, academia, and research to explore the frontiers of synthetic biology, discuss its future direction, and help propel the synthetic biology and bio-manufacturing industries to new heights.

01 Technical Speech | Key Control Systems and Practical Points in Fermentation Process Design


During the conference, Qian Zhenxu, Technical Manager of JV Bio, delivered an insightful speech titled "Key Control Systems and Practical Points in Fermentation Process Design." He pointed out that the essence of industrialization pain points lies in the uncontrollable and non-reproducible nature of the fermentation microenvironment, and that traditional geometric similarity scaling methods have obvious limitations. The core of fermentation process control lies in achieving microenvironmental similarity, and the process performance evaluation system established on this basis is quantifiable, verifiable, and implementable. This system can precisely address three major challenges: transitioning from single-process to multi-process, scaling up from small tanks to large tanks, and enabling process linkage across different tank types and manufacturers.
Leveraging microenvironmental control technology, JV Bio offers both standard and customized fermentation tank product series, along with full-process compliant delivery, providing core equipment support for stable process scale-up and large-scale production.
The speech started from the design source, offering practical and feasible new ideas for quality control and large-scale production in the fermentation stage of synthetic biology. 02 Closed-Door Meeting | Value Upgrading and Ecological Closed-Loop Construction in the Aesthetic Medicine Industry



On the afternoon of April 17, the closed-door meeting "Value Upgrading and Ecological Closed-Loop Construction in the Aesthetic Medicine Industry," co-hosted by JV Bio, China Electronics Corporation Fourth Construction Co., Ltd. (CEDC-4), and BioValley, was held concurrently.
The meeting was moderated by Professor Guo Meijin, a doctoral supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology, and Chairman of the Biochemical Process Modeling and Control Committee of the Chinese Society for Microbiology. The meeting featured speeches by Sun Rong, Chief Analyst at Frost & Sullivan Greater China; Lu Xiangbao, Production Head of Zhejiang Meili Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; and Wang Wenge, CEO of Jiangtai Biotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
